Subscriptions and Registration

There are three ways to get email alerts to Dougist.

Subscribe to Post Comments

You may subscribe to individual post comments by checking off the box after each comment. This is a per post selection, and you have to do it for each post you wish to follow. I like doing that to see if anyone said something witty in response to my wittiness. Each email contains an unsubscribe link in case you get tired of the lack of wittiness.

Email Subscription 1

Dougist supports two levels of email subscription.

Registered users have more control over subscriptions and once subscribed and logged-in you can fill out a profile form, select categories of interest, change your email address, chose HTML or Plain Text, Excerpt Only or Full Post and all sorts of cool stuff.

Email Subscription 2

You can also use the form below to subscribe simply to the Dougist.com list server. This will provide you with a short email describing new postings and any interesting “subscriber only” emails I may come up with. Sorry no options available with this one.

Help With Subscriptions

In any case, unsubscribing is easy, and I never sell, rent or lend email lists – I hate spam as much as you do.

Have a problem? Drop me a note and I’ll fix it.

Douglas Barone

A postmodern Existentialist with Objectivist leanings, fighting to catch up with his art, after serving time as a capitalist oppressor of the people.

Doug Barone retired from corporate life after 20 years in the finance industry and is fooling everyone into thinking he is a writer. Having been a corporate strategist, finance executive, and IT executive he has found almost nothing of use to him from those years except the zany people and crazy stories that no one in their right mind could ever dream up. He uses these real life experiences in his work and this separates him from other writers who never really worked a day in their lives either. He writes about the primacy of the individual, the oppression of institutions, and the ability of real heroes to exist. As such he fully expects to be pilloried by the academic left and the religious right, and looks forward to every lashing.
