Douglas Barone

Doug Barone is a writer living in New York. He’s studied literature and writing at The New School for Social Research and in Pulitzer Prize winner Philip Schultz’ Writers Studio. At The New School he studied under Sharon Mesmer (The Virgin Formica, In Ordinary Time) Sidney Offit (Memoir of a Bookies Son) Joshua Gaylord (Hummingbirds) Robert Boyers (ed. Salmagundi) and Justice Rosenberg.

He is an undergraduate alumnus of St. Lawrence University and a graduate alumnus of Loyola University. He is a member of the Center for Fiction in New York. In both 2010 and 2011 he was selected to study with Rick Moody at the New York State Writer’s Institute.
